To all of my loyal customers,
I want to thank you for you business and give you an update.
First of all I want to give thanks to God for all He has done for my family and me this past year. 2020 has been a very trying time on so many levels; But God has pulled us through in good health and with good jobs.
      As some of you know “Uncle Bo’s Jerky” is a hobby that I have been trying to turn into a business for many years now while working fulltime. For my “fulltime” job, I provide tech support for the life science industry, including Pfizer and Merc. Although the pandemic has been very bad for Uncle Bo, it has increased my workload at my fulltime job. So much so, that I have had to put Uncle Bo on the back burner (again), and I am not sure when I will be able to get back into full production. This is very aggravating for me because in January of 2020 I had just completed everything I needed (license, permits, USDA approval, etc…) to become a fully legit business. And for the first 2 months I was doing well, and then Covid-19 happened.
If Uncle Bo’s Jerky is going to make a comeback, I am going to need Gods Help to make it happen. So, if any of you are of the praying sort, please put me on your prayer list. I need wisdom and discernment on how to balance God, Family, work, honey-do-list, and jerky.

Update:

Unfortunately, we pulled out of the markets when the pandemic hit and have yet to start again. We had product that expired in the meantime. Still good but unsalable. We were pleased to be able to donate the lot to our local chapter of Teen Challenge. We still have product that must be sold before it expires. Our shop is still open for online purchases.

What Next?

2021:
We are on hold for the foreseeable future.

Long term goal:
 We will continue to pursue USDA certification for the other four flavors. On the research and development front, we want to build a test kitchen in order to investigate new combinations of flavor, as well as, different meats...for example, we have been asked to try our hand at Turkey Jerky.
