Tim Benton is a native (hillbilly) from West Virginia and a pioneer at heart. Tim (AKA Uncle Bo), started making Jerky in 1998 after a friend of the family gave him a food dehydrator as a gift. Uncle Bo first tried the recipes from the book that came with the dehydrator and was not satisfied with the results, so he started experimenting with some of his own steak rubs and marinades. After about six months, he came up with what is now Uncle Bo's original recipe. Years later, and after strong encouragement from a mentor (and others), he started the journey of building the Uncle Bo's Brand. Once he created an official LLC, it took 5 years to move from part time commissary to bulk manufacturing. Through it all, he has enjoyed sharing his love of cooking with his family and friends and is now offering this great snack to all of you, nationwide! Our mission is to build a legacy within our social circle; a brand that is sought after and becomes synonymous with quality excellence in honor of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |
